Jim & Lori Kedrowski together with
Jeff
Sullivan and Henry & Margaret Scott hunted with us in April
and they had a great time.
"The guides were knowledgeable,
friendly, professional and an excellent judge of animals. The Jordaan's
make you feel like a part of the family and the food was outstanding,
the dinners always a highlight." |

Clark & Dyxie Pauly, Doug Nelson also
hunted with us in May.
"Our trip
was an incredible experience, truly the trip of a lifetime. The
bird hunting was amazing; the South African Rock Pigeons must be
the world’s most challenging target! They are much harder to connect
with than the Mexican White winged doves. I fired a thousand rounds
in one day, and we had to quit early as a dust storm blew in. Every
time I got a chance to look Dyxie was knocking them down just as
well as I. The Egyptian Geese were plentiful and decoyed well; in
two days we gained a lifetime of hunting experience (i.e. lots of
shooting). Again Dyxie did great, at this point she probably has
more hunting experience than most men. Much has been written about
African big game hunting, believe me, it is all wonderful. If you
are a hunter then this must be heaven! Dyxie took her Zebra, one
shot through the heart, very well done. I was privileged to take
a monster Kudu, and the hunt itself was my hunt of a lifetime! The
food was elegant and served in a delightful family atmosphere, steaks
(kudu, springbuck, wildebeest, even beef) every night. Plenty of
vegetables and all topped off with some creative and delightful
deserts. Our hostess (Thanks Karen) was a wonderful cook and perfect
hostess. The womenfolk can feel just as comfortable as the men.
Dyxie & I stayed in the very quaint rondavel or roundhouse,
with modern bathrooms and were very comfortable. All your laundry
is done daily, being folded and pressed when you come in in the
evening. And while I am not a wine coinsurer, I do know what I like
& for my tastes South African wines are the best I have ever
had. Our PH was an amazing hunter. His ability to spot game and
his knowledge of game was phenomenal. I stood in awe of his hunting
abilities. He is one of the few people that I have met who probably
enjoy hunting more than I. Trust me that is a short list! We never
felt anything but safe, I know that is a concern now. And everyone
we met, everywhere we went was friendly. Practically everyone spoke
English and communication was no problem. And best of all, while
not cheap, it is affordable." |

Philip Keitel and son James together with Roger
Pearson spent 9 days of hunting with us and then went on to
Cape Town to do some shark diving.
"The total
hunt package, facilities, food, people were the very best. Excellent
game meat dinners, sighting abundant game of all species, beautiful
country scenery, dining on game meat dinners that were to die for
- beyond excellent, stalking wild game all day and sharing everyone's
stories at night. A very professional operation." |

George & Mary Beth Lloyd from Texas hunted
with us in May.
"This was
more than just a hunting trip, this was an opportunity to make new
friends and learn about South Africa, the local towns and their
history and people. Our PH, Beans, was always thoughtful, patient,
professional and fun. Tollie & Karen you are both such great
hosts and your attention to detail is incredible and very much appreciated." |

Harry Morse and Pam Sherwood spent a week of
hunting with us before they visited the Addo Elephant Park as
well.
"Tollie exceeded my expectations
in every aspect of the hunting operation from pick up to departure.
Each of the elements of making a hunt enjoyable, comfortable, successful
and memorable were met." |

Tiny & Barbara Tomsen, George, Sally,
John & Mattie Lippe, Ross, Diane, Lauren, Conor &
Sean Murphy and Mel, Melinda, Kelly & Logan Mercer
spent some time with us in June / July. First Tiny accompanied the
5 boys for the hunting academy (see hunting academy web page)
where after
the parents joined them for a 10 day safari with us. After the safari
the Mercer's together with Tollie and Karen did the Malawi, Ngorongora
Crater, Serengeti, Vic Falls trip which everyone enjoyed thoroughly.
Mercer's:
"Words will never be able to express
the awesome time we had at your home and the final 10 days or so
as we ventured out into Africa on Air Troskie."
Mel Mercer:
"I was coming home from a great day of hunting, looking forward to
a warm shower, great fellowship and a great meal with new friends,
when my alarm rang, awakening me for another day at work, back in
Tulsa. I felt cheated that our time in South Africa was, in retrospect,
too short. Ten days of glorious hunting in beautiful country with
wonderful people has come and gone and I am left with a lifetime
of memories and a burning desire to return to complete unfinished
business, such as hunting duikers and impala with a bow (this time).
To see a country-side with such glorious and bountiful game, to
be blest with informative and friendly personal hunters, and to
be treated with such grand hospitality (the food, wine and fellowship
was fabulous) made this safari/vacation one of the sentinel moments
of my life."
Ross Murphy and family:
"My family agrees that this was
the absolute best vacation or trip we have ever taken. The boys
had more fun than they have ever had and have not stopped talking
about it and the fine PH's they were learning from. Tollie, your
attention to detail and gift of hospitality were most evident as
everything went wonderfully. I truly have never felt as much at
home as I felt at your home. We had a trip of a lifetime and will
relive our experiences over and over - until we return." |

We had a group of 20 friends here in July, most were
from Oregon, some from PA.
Al Glidden and Todd Ford; Luke, Debbe,
Jenny, Michelle Klaja; Ed Otterson, Megan Camp, Katherine Leigh
Hilsinger, Margee, John, James Myers; Gene, Gino, Frank, Maria,
Tory Bell and Terry McClean.
First they did the Kapama Private
Game Reserve / Kruger Park Tour for 7 days and then spent 7 days
of hunting / sightseeing with us.
Gene
Bell:
"We would like to thank you for an absolutely
marvellous
vacation that was enjoyed by everyone!! We certainly had a memorable
trip!! Thanks for all your attention."
Klaja's:
"We seem to fall more in love with Africa and all of you
every time we visit. It was hard looking at our pictures today and
missing all of you. But what great memories. We squeezed alot in
in 2 weeks! Could have used another week at your place to do some
of the more relaxing trips the others took {Jen' s pictures at the
waterfall looked tempting.} Everyone had a great time!"
Margee Myers's:
"They say one picture is worth a thousand words.
They were beautiful pictures and quite the suprises. Oh my goodness,
thank you so much. I am so excited to see my guys again, but I knew
they were in experts hands. As for the entire Kruger trip it was
really terriffic. It was a great group to tavel with. Louise planned
it beautifully, and Francois and Herman did a great job of sharing
the lowveld and Kruger with us. The accomodations were wonderful,
the food excellent and the scenery beautiful . It was truelly an
experience of a lifetime. I know from my brief phone call with Bill,
and from the pictures you sent that it was certainly a trip of a
life time for a father and his sons. Wow! I know we overuse the
word awesome in the states, so maybe I'll say it was awe inspiring.
I feel blessed having had the opportunity to visit your country,
Thanks again for the pictures, they are priceless."
Rick &
Sharon Schaefer:
"I want to thank you again for all your
gracious hospitality. For a week we both felt a part of the Jordaan
family. Especially me (Sharon) , because you were so kind to let
me see your way of life and included me in the Rugby match, and
other un-numbered kindnesses." |
